Biography

Kede Ma is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK). He received his B.E. degree from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 2012 and his M.A.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Waterloo in 2014 and 2017, respectively. From 2018 to 2019, he was a Research Associate at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute and New York University. He was named a Clarivate Highly Cited Researcher in 2024 and 2025. Prof. Ma currently serves on the editorial boards of IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics and Security, IEEE Signal Processing Letters, and ACM Computing Surveys. He has also served as an Area Chair for the IEEE/CVF Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition (CVPR) and the Conference on Neural Information Processing Systems (NeurIPS).
