Kede Ma is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK). He received his B.E. degree from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 2012, and his MASc and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Waterloo in 2014 and 2017, respectively. From 2018 to 2019, he was a Research Associate with the Howard Hughes Medical Institute and New York University. Prof. Ma was named a Highly Cited Researcher by Clarivate Analytics in 2024 and 2025. He currently serves on the editorial boards of
IEEE Transactions on Image Processing,
IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics and Security, and
